C++ Training Course
This four day training course will teach participants the fundamentals of the C++ language and explain the main concepts of object-oriented programming. In addition, it addresses some programming techniques with which the participants can improve the quality and maintainability of their C++ code.
The training is aimed at students and professionals with some programming experience in a structured language such as Fortran, Java or Python. Experience with C is useful, but not essential. After the training course the participants should be able to write object oriented C++ programs that are structured, readable, and maintainable.
The training course will be presented by dr. ir. Erik Jan Lingen and ir. Mark Groen. Both trainers have a thorough knowledge of the C++ language coming from many years of software development: for example DRG’s C++ Software Development Kit Jive that is being used by a number academic institutions. Additionally, by assisting new users, who are often novice C++ programmers, with this SDK over the years, has provided a good insight into the issues and pitfalls typically run into by new programmers. Based on these experiences the course has been developed. Constantly monitoring the user-satisfaction and listening to suggestions of the participants has resulted in a training course that is highly rated by the participants.
