FEPipe

ASME VIII-2 Analysis using FEPipe Training Course

FEPipe is a template-driven Finite Element software package, specifically designed for the needs of engineers in the piping and pressure vessel industries. FEPipe is part of the PRG (Paulin Research Group) software suite   FEPipe makes modeling typical pressure vessel and piping geometries faster and easier than is possible with general FEA tools due to the parametric design philosophy. FEPipe automatically creates the model geometry, element mesh, applied loads, and boundary conditions based on standard dimensions. Additionally results are presented in terms of ASME VIII-2 requirements instead of generalized stress results.   During the course the focus will be on using FEPipe for analysing typical piping geometries such as heads, nozzles, supports, saddles and skirts. There will also be extensive seminars on Part 5 of the ASME VIII-2 so that participants become proficient in conducting a “Design by Analysis” assessment.   The course is given by one of the experienced consultants from DRG who regularly use FEPipe first hand in their consultancy projects.   The fundamentals of the sister software NozzlePRO also form part of the course.
